Finding Healing After Loss

Understanding Grief

How Journey For Tomorrow Can Help

Common Reactions to Grief

Grief is a natural response to loss—but that doesn’t make it easy. The loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, serious illness, or other life changes can bring overwhelming sadness, confusion, and pain. While grief looks different for everyone, it often affects emotional health, relationships, and daily functioning.

At Journey For Tomorrow, Inc., we believe no one should have to walk through grief alone. Our Grief & Loss Support Program offers a safe, compassionate space to process loss and begin the journey toward healing.

Common Reactions to Grief

Each person grieves differently, but common experiences may include:

  • Deep sadness, loneliness, or emptiness

  • Anger, guilt, or regret

  • Difficulty concentrating or making decisions

  • Physical symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, or sleep changes

  • Withdrawal from friends, family, or activities

  • Feeling “stuck” or unable to move forward

These feelings are normal, but with the right support, healing is possible.
